The Citroen C8 replaces the Evasion and is the fruit of a collaboration between Fiat and Peugeot-Citroen. Together with him, on the same platform, a number of related models with the logos of the manufacturers participating in the development are released. The car can be called a real long-liver. The original first generation appeared before the general public at the spring Geneva Motor Show back in 2002 and lasted on the assembly line practically unchanged until 2008, when the manufacturer decided to carry out a small restyling. The C8 received an extended list of options, slightly modernized technical stuffing and more chrome moldings. Despite its pedigree, the model has received a rather calm and restrained design, but also bears several family traits of the manufacturer. The drop-shaped headlamps with small focusing lenses are striking the eye. The radiator grille is a wide ventilation slot with a thin horizontal trim and branded chevron. Citroen C8 is a minivan with three rows of seats. By default, it is capable of accommodating up to seven people. Its overall dimensions are: length 4726 mm, height 1856 mm, width 1854 mm, and wheelbase 2823 mm. The ground clearance is quite modest by the standards of this class, and is only 140 millimeters. The suspension itself is made in a rather simple way. On the front axle there is an independent structure with an anti-roll bar and McPherson struts, and at the rear there is a semi-independent system with a torsion beam. In a seven-seater layout, the C8 does not boast a solid capacity - only 225 liters. For the transportation of oversized cargo, seats can be donated and maximally received up to 2950 liters of usable space. In the domestic market, Citroen C8 is offered with one single powertrain. It is an in-line naturally aspirated petrol four with two camshafts and multi-point fuel injection. The engineers managed to squeeze out 140 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. As a transmission, a conventional five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic is available. Depending on the version, the minivan will accelerate to the first hundred in 11.6-12.9 seconds and reach a maximum of 184-188 kilometers per hour. Fuel consumption will be 12-13.3 liters of gasoline per hundred at a city driving pace, 7.3-7.5 liters on the highway and about 9 liters in the combined cycle. In the domestic market, officially, the minivan was presented only in the SX configuration. It includes six airbags, a stability control system, ABS, EBD, a parking aid, tire pressure sensors, an audio system, an air conditioner, child seat mounts, full power accessories and adjustable outside mirrors.
