The Ferrari 458 Italia debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2009. This mid-engined sports car replaces the F430, which has been in production since 2004. On the exterior of the car, as well as on the design of the bodies of its predecessors, the professionals of the Pininfarina studio worked. They managed not only to preserve the family traits of the F430, but also to make the Ferrari 458 Italy even more aggressive and muscular. At the same time, the Ferrari 458 Italia is equipped with an eight-cylinder gasoline engine, which, with a volume of 4.5 liters, develops a power of 570 hp. and a torque of 540 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch robotized gearbox and propels the 1,380 kg sports car from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.4 seconds. The maximum speed of the car is 325 km / h, and 80% of the moment is available already at 3,250 rpm. It is important that, in comparison with the F430 engine, the power unit of the Ferrari 458 Italy has become more economical and environmentally friendly: according to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 13.7 liters, and the CO emission does not exceed 307 g / km. Thanks to the mid-engine layout, the Ferrari 458 Italia has an almost perfect axle weight distribution - 42/58%, and the sharp handling is provided by a constructively perfect suspension - independent double wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear. The Ferrari 458 Italia is equipped with Vehicle Dynamic Assistance, which allows you to change the mode of operation of the engine, brakes, transmission and suspension, customizing them for everyday driving or the track. In this case, the driver can completely disable the traction control and stabilization system. The temperature control system, which came to the Ferrari 458 Italy from formula cars, helps to prepare the car for sports driving, which informs the driver about the warming up of the engine, brakes and tires. Optionally, the Ferrari 458 Italia is equipped with a system that allows you to raise the front of the car by 4 cm when driving over bumps. Also available as an option is a navigation and satellite anti-theft system, a USB-input for connecting an iPod and a rear-view camera.
