The subcompact car Hyundai Accent is also known as Verna and Excel. The first generation of the model debuted in 1995 as a replacement for the outdated Excel model. However, in the Netherlands and Australia, the name of the car has not changed. The car was produced in hatchback and sedan bodies and was equipped with two gasoline engines 16V with a volume of 1.3 and 1.5 liters. In 1997, all models underwent restyling, receiving a new front bumper with a developed air intake and new taillights. In 1999, the Accent entered the market, having nothing to do with the previous machines. In 2000, the Korean manufacturer began producing the second generation of the car, the Hyundai Accent LC. The body of the new generation had more straight lines. In Korea, the car was offered under the name Verna. The 2003 facelift brought with it a new index - the LC2. Today Hyundai Accent LC2 is assembled in Russia and India. In 2006, the third generation Accent debuted, supplied to the Russian market under the name Hyundai Verna. The car was developed on the basis of the Kia Rio and was not very popular. At the 2010 Beijing Motor Show, Hyundai unveiled the new Accent, which is longer and wider than its predecessor. Now this car is only sold in China and Korea.
