An updated version of the executive sedan Jaguar XJ 2016 model year was presented in Britain at the end of 2015. Distinguishing a new product from its predecessor is not so easy. External differences between the Jaguar XJ models are minimal, they are the pattern of LED headlights, a slightly enlarged grille, chrome edging of the air intakes, slightly elongated taillights and oval tailpipes of the exhaust system. Among the technical innovations of the Jaguar X J is a modified power steering, which improves the responsiveness of the car to the driver's actions, as well as the system of keeping the car on the road with a low grip coefficient ASPC. Currently, Jaguar XJ is offered on the Russian market with two wheelbases: standard SWB and extended LWB, in which the axle centers are 3032 mm and 3157 mm. respectively, with a total vehicle length of 5130 and 5255 mm and a mass of 2280 and 2450 kg. The list of possible powertrains for the Jaguar XJ consists of two supercharged gasoline engines with a displacement of 2.0 and 3.0 liters, with a capacity of 240 hp. (340 Nm) and 340 hp. (450 Nm). The first of them is capable of accelerating the basic version of the XJ up to 241 km / h, reaching "hundreds" in 7.9 seconds. With the second, Jaguar X Jay accelerates to 100 km / h in 6.4 seconds, and the high-speed "ceiling" is at around 250 km / h. The Jaguar XJ is also equipped with a V-shaped six-cylinder 3.0-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 300 hp. and a moment of 700 Nm. With him, Jaguar X Jay demonstrates the best acceleration dynamics in 6.2 seconds. up to the first "hundred". "Maximum speed" is electronically limited at 250 km / h. All Jaguar XJ trims use an eight-speed automatic transmission as a transmission. Most of the Jaguar X J modifications are rear-wheel drive. There is a modification with four-wheel drive, but it is equipped only with a top-end gasoline engine. Outwardly, such a car does not differ in any way from its rear-wheel drive counterparts, at least from the outside. The difference can be found by looking at the model from below. This Jaguar XJ has reinforced front suspension elements, a different sump, propeller tunnel and front subframe, as well as an electronic-mechanical multi-plate clutch that distributes torque, developed by Magna. It is also used by BMW in the X-Drive system. However, if the Bavarians have the distribution of torque in proportions of 60x40, then the Jaguar XJ in normal conditions remains rear-wheel drive. The front axle is connected only when the rear wheels are slipping or at a speed above 10 km / h, and in critical situations, all 100% of the engine power can be directed to the front wheels. The Jaguar XJ Center Clutch Control Module is integrated with safety features such as Dynamic Stability and Anti-lock Brakes to help the Jaguar XJ navigate corners and other maneuvers at significantly higher speeds. In 2016, the Jaguar XJ received two new trim levels. R-Sport has appeared among the less expensive versions. It can be recognized by the side skirts of the electrically operated curtain air inlets, a rear spoiler and a three-piece front splitter. The trims of the Jaguar XJ grilles, windows and under the bumper panels are painted in high-gloss black, while the interior features sports seats and a similar steering wheel. The Jaguar XJ Long Wheelbase trims include a top-of-the-line luxury Autobiography featuring 20-inch alloy wheels, soft-illuminated stainless steel sills, leather interior with red stitching and natural oak inlays, custom massage reclining seats, and an entertainment system with a foldable 10.2-inch screen.
