The Opel Agila subcompact car debuted in the spring of 2000 at the Geneva Motor Show. The development of the car was carried out jointly by specialists from Opel and Suzuki. In the spring of 2002, the German manufacturer introduced the top-end version of the Opel Agila, equipped with a 1.2-liter 16V Ecotec engine. The car had a two-tone body color and differed in a number of original elements. In 2003, a facelift of the car was carried out, as a result of which the model acquired new bumpers and paint. All Opel Agila engines have now met the Euro 4 environmental requirements. New Common Rail diesel engines with a capacity of 70 to 150 horsepower have also been added. In 2007, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the premiere of a new model - Opel Agila B. Like the previous generation, the car was created in cooperation with Suzuki.
