We can say that the Toyota Auris is a Corolla hatchback, produced specifically for the European market. The first generation of the car was presented in October 2006 at the Paris Motor Show. In February 2007, the Auris officially went on sale and since then has gained immense popularity among consumers. The compact hatchback, produced in both three- and five-door versions, was equipped with several gasoline power units with a volume of 1.33 to 1.8 liters and three turbodiesel engines with a volume of 1.4 to 2.2 liters. The most powerful engine was a 2.2-liter four-cylinder 177-horsepower diesel engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It accelerated the compact hatchback from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8.1 seconds and was very efficient at the same time. The second generation of the car was presented in August 2012 as before - at the Paris Motor Show. The Japanese hatchback has grown slightly in length, but at the same time it has become lower, and in width remains the same as before. The ergonomics, design and interior trim have improved, but the powertrains have undergone only minor changes. Also, as before, four petrol engines (1.33 - 1.8 liters), two diesels (1.4 and 1.8 liters) and a hybrid power plant with a 1.8-liter petrol engine are available.
