The word "Acura" itself, as well as the symbol in which the letter "A" is stylized as a caliper, symbolizing reliability, thoughtfulness and a desire for new things, was developed not in Japan, but in California (USA) by a branding laboratory. For a long time, the luxury brand Acura created by Honda for America was not represented in Russia. All cars of this brand that were found on domestic roads at that time were imported by gray dealers and did not fall under the brand warranty. However, in 2013, a representative office of the company was opened in Russia, and on March 1, 2014, two Moscow dealerships began accepting pre-orders for the full-size MDX crossover and the mid-size Acura RDX 2012 model year. Acura RDX is practically not adapted for overcoming off-road - it has no underbody protection, and the muffler is located so low that it is quite easy to tear it off. This generation of Acura RDX cannot be called a new generation. This is a typical facelift, in which the exterior of the Acura RDX has been enhanced with a new grille, Jewel Eye LED optics and a few other touches. Under the hood of the new Acura RDX is the same 3.5-liter V-6, which has been bumped up to 279 hp. paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. Inside the Acura RDX, you can now find ventilated front seats, exterior mirrors with auto-dimming. At the same time, the TFT-display remained the same size - 4.2 inches. True, they added functions to control various systems and car settings. The list of Acura RDX safety systems has also been expanded with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
