The third generation Audi TT with the 8S index made its debut in March 2014 on the catwalks of the Geneva Motor Show and was produced without significant changes until July 2018, when the updated model was declassified. She could be seen live at the autumn Paris Motor Show of the same year. The novelty is the first and rather complex third-generation restyling. The car received a changed palette of powertrains, a slightly redrawn interior, an expanded list of options and a retouched exterior. From now on, all models will, by default, be equipped with a front bumper included in the S line package. It features enlarged air intakes as well as a black splitter on the lower lip. The radiator grill has also changed. She received a design from large embossed cells. As for the new package, it adds silver accents on the bumper and side skirts, as well as a small diffuser at the rear. Audi TT is a two-door premium sports car. The car is available in two body types - coupe and roadster with soft roof. In the first version, it is 4191 mm long, 1832 mm wide, 1376 mm high and 2505 mm between the wheelsets. The car is built on the MQB platform with a front transverse power unit. Its body is 69 percent winged metal alloys, and its suspension is fully independent. In front are McPherson struts with rigid levers, and in the back there is a multi-link design. In basic versions, conventional shock absorbers with coil springs are installed in a circle. Adaptive Magnetic Ride stands can be ordered for an additional fee. As for the size of the trunk, it is expectedly small. 305 liters for the coupe and 280 for the roadster. From now on, under the hood of the Audi TT, there are exclusively two-liter TSI petrol fours with varying degrees of boost. The 1.8-liter four and two-liter turbodiesel will no longer be fitted to this model. The new motors boast a progressive design. They have combined fuel injection (into the manifold and directly into the cylinder), a water-cooled intercooler, and an advanced turbocharger. The younger version develops 197 horses and 320 Nm of torque. Such units work only with robotic gearboxes and transmit traction to the front wheels. Older configurations develop 245 horses and 370 Nm. For such engines, you can choose between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed S tronic robot. The drive is also front-wheel drive by default, however, for an additional fee, a plug-in system with an electro-hydraulic Haldex clutch can be ordered. As a result, depending on the version, the car fires from zero to the first hundred in 5.2-6.6 seconds, and its maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle will be 6.1-7 liters. The interior of the Audi TT is made in the Virtual cockpit architecture. Its key feature is the presence of a large, fully virtual instrument panel from which the driver can control all of the vehicle's systems. A separate screen of the multimedia system on the center console is not provided; there are air vents. It is worth noting that after restyling, the basic versions received new items in the list of standard equipment. Added USB connectors and Bluetooth module, as well as the Drive Select system, with which the driver can choose the operating modes of the control electronics.
