The second generation Cadillac SRX was born in 2009. It is based on a compact transverse engine platform. Cars were assembled in Mexico and sent from there to the United States. In 2010, a 2.8-liter turbocharged engine with 300 hp was added to the only offered gasoline 3.0-liter 269-horsepower V6. However, it was not popular and was replaced by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter LFX with 318 hp. The developers have called it an update to the Cadillac SRX, which remains intact. The power of the base 3.0-liter Cadillac SRX six for the Russian market was reduced to 249 hp. by developing new software for the engine control unit. The maximum torque remained unchanged - 301 Nm., But it began to be achieved at 3200 rpm, and not 5100 rpm as before. Transmission Cadillac SRX in all cases is automatic, six-speed. The suspension is completely independent, spring. A MacPherson strut is installed in the front, a multi-link in the back. Ground clearance - 179 mm. The crossover was restyled only in 2013. It turned out to be superficial and did not touch on the technical stuff at all. In general, the designers managed to slightly improve the appearance of the Cadillac SRX, making it more modern and attractive. The chrome grille and front bumper have slightly changed, and 20-inch alloy wheels have appeared. In the cabin, the instrument cluster, steering wheel, center console and controls located on it have been redesigned. Currently, the Cadillac SRX is presented in Russia with 3.0 and 3.6 liter engines with 249 and 318 hp. Both are equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission with manual control. In the basic version of the Cadillac SRX, there is front-wheel drive, in all the others, only full-wheel drive is installed with permanently connected front wheels and disconnected rear wheels. Their drive is equipped with a Haldex multi-plate clutch. In the top-end version, it is complemented by a second device - an eLSD clutch mounted together with a rear center differential. It distributes traction between the wheels and, if necessary, locks the differential. The Cadillac SRX's minimum equipment list includes Bose's premium eight-speaker music system, dual-zone climate control, and dynamic stability control. The most expensive modification of the Cadillac SRX is equipped with a 3.6-liter 318-horsepower unit, a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. From the equipment - keyless access to the salon, three-zone climate control, navigation with a menu in Russian, a separate entertainment system for passengers in the rear row of seats, which, moreover, are equipped with heating, remote engine start and much more. The volume of the trunk is 843.9 liters, which when the rear seat back is lowered increases to 1730.4 liters. For an additional fee, a panoramic sunroof and a premium salon with sapele wood inserts are available.
