The Cadillac STS, a full-size luxury sedan, premiered at the New York Auto Show in the spring of 2004. The car was intended to replace the outdated Cadillac Seville model. The model has been supplied to Russia since the beginning of 2005. When creating the car, a rear-wheel drive Sigma platform was used, on which the SRX and CTS were previously assembled. It is noteworthy that as an option, the Cadillac STS can be equipped with an SRX permanent all-wheel drive system. At the 2005 Detroit NAIAS show, the manufacturer unveiled the Cadillac STS-V luxury sports sedan. This modification was equipped with a special sports suspension and an engine boosted to 440 horsepower, while the maximum power of the base version was 320 horsepower. Another important feature of the sports car is the six-speed automatic transmission Hydra-Matic 6L80. In 2008, the Cadillac STS underwent a facelift. The car was equipped with new security systems and a reinforced engine with a capacity of 298 horsepower. The interior of the car has also been improved. The Cadillac STS is manufactured at the American General Motors facility in Lansing, Michigan.
