The Cadillac XT5 is a full-size, five-seat premium crossover. It measures 4815 mm long, 1903 mm wide, 1675 mm high and 2857 mm between the wheelsets. The ground clearance is quite solid and is 200 millimeters. At the heart of the car is the newly developed C1 platform. The layout is more expensive. The power unit is located transversely. The suspension is completely independent: McPherson struts at the front and multi-link architecture at the rear. The chassis is attached to the body by means of hydraulically supported subframes. Adaptive twin-tube shock absorbers with a remote bypass valve. The Sport version additionally boasts more driver settings for the suspension, steering and transmission. Previously, the Cadillac XT5 was equipped with a V-shaped atmospheric six. After restyling, the crossover will receive an in-line two-liter petrol four with a turbocharging system. To increase its attractiveness from a tax point of view, its peak power has been reduced to 200 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The eight-speed hydromechanical automatic Aisin was replaced by a more advanced nine-speed automatic transmission of its own design. In the domestic market, all models will be presented with four-wheel drive. The rear axle connects in an unusual way. The gearbox contains two multi-plate friction clutches that separately connect the wheels of the rear pair. As a result, the car is able to accelerate from zero to hundreds in 9 seconds and reach a maximum of 210 km / h.
