Changan is one of the first state-owned automobile companies in China. It was formed as a result of conversion, that is, the transfer of defense plants to the production of civilian products. This happened in 1962, when army trucks on the assembly line were replaced by civilian ones. The company logo in the form of the letter "V" symbolizes such concepts as Victory (victory) and Value (value). Currently, the company ranks 162 out of the 500 largest enterprises of the Middle Kingdom with state participation. At 15 factories of the brand, cars, SUVs, minivans, trucks and buses are assembled annually, as well as engines with a working volume of 0.8 to 2.5 liters with a total volume of 2 million 100 thousand units. Joint ventures have also been formed with well-known brands such as Suzuki, Ford, Mazda, Peugeot, Citroen and JMC. The company annually allocates 5% of the income received from the sale of products for the development of technologies and scientific research. So in 2013, 57.7 million yuan was spent for these purposes. Sales of Changan passenger cars started in Russia in February 2014. Then three models were immediately presented: two sedans and a five-seater urban compact crossover Changan CS35. Its salon was created in Japan, the chassis was finalized in America, and specialists from Great Britain were engaged in the assembly technology. The design was developed in Italy, under the direction of Luciano d'Ambrosio, the former head of the Bertone atelier. For the domestic market, the Changan CS35 is equipped with a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with multipoint injection of the Blue Core family, which was developed by the engineers of the Chinese company, more precisely its British branch. It has a power of 113 hp, a maximum torque of 152 Nm., And is capable of running on gasoline with an octane rating of at least 92. With it, the Changan CS35 weighing 1350 kg accelerates to 100 km / h in 14 seconds, and the maximum speed is 180 km / h. There are two options for Changan CS35 transmissions: a manual five-speed gearbox or a four-band "automatic". The drive is provided for the front wheels only.
