The original Chevrolet Blazer was a real frame SUV and was produced from 1995 to 2005. On June 22, 2018, the American manufacturer decided to revive the iconic name and unveiled a completely new car with a modern layout. On the hierarchical ladder, it sits between the Equinox and Traverse models. The novelty received a proprietary platform, a line of atmospheric gasoline units, a spacious interior and an outstanding appearance. The front end looks pretty aggressive and impressive. It houses narrow LED headlights and a huge grille. It has a trapezoidal shape and is covered with thin horizontal chrome ribs. On the sides of it you can see large angular fog lights, and in the lower part of the bumper there is an additional air intake. The rear has unusual struts that create the effect of a floating roof, a small spoiler, large brake lights and two massive exhaust pipes. The Chevrolet Blazer is marketed as a mid-size five-seat crossover. Its overall dimensions are: length 4917 mm, width 1915 mm, height 1745 mm, and wheelbase 2857 mm. The ground clearance is quite modest by the standards of this class. Only 182 millimeters remain between the ground and the bottom. The car is based on the C1XX platform. Its distinctive features are the front transverse arrangement of the engine and the classic, for this segment, independent suspension. In front there is a MacPherson strut, and in the back there is a multi-link system. The trunk of the crossover is quite spacious. In its standard position, when loaded under the top shelf, it can hold up to 600 liters of luggage. Moreover, it provides for a special cargo securing system with additional partitions. To increase roominess, the backrests can be folded down and up to 1,818 liters. Basic versions of the Chevrolet Blazer will receive a 2.5-liter inline-four naturally aspirated four. It develops 194 horsepower at 6300 rpm and 255 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm. Older models will be equipped with a 3.6-liter V-six. An advanced variable valve timing system and direct fuel injection allowed the engineers to lift 309 horses at 6600 rpm and 365 Nm at 5000 rpm. As a transmission, only the classic nine-speed variable automatic transmission is offered. The drive, by default, is front, for an additional fee, you can order a plug-in system with a multi-plate clutch. In top trim levels, it will be equipped with a rear differential lock. Chevrolet Blazer offers a wide range of optional equipment. The crossover is equipped with front and side airbags, anti-lock braking system and ESP, LED optics, adaptive cruise control capable of keeping a distance, climate control with two zones of operation, leather interior, parking sensors, heated and ventilated seats, a multimedia center with an eight-inch touch screen as well as a wireless charger for your phone.
