The Chevrolet Lacetti car was developed by the South Korean manufacturer GM Daewoo. The car is available in three body styles: a four-door sedan, a five-door hatchback and a five-door station wagon. The model was intended to replace the Daewoo Nubira car. The design for the station wagon and sedan versions was carried out by the Italian studio Pininfarina. The hatchback was developed with the participation of the Italian studio ItalDesign under the leadership of Giorgetto Giugiaro. The car debuted in the summer of 2003. The Lacetti car went on sale in 2004. And in 2009, it was replaced by the Chevrolet Cruze. Sales of the car on the Russian market began in 2004. The car was equipped with engines with a working volume of 1.4-1.8 liters with a capacity of 94-122 horsepower. In 2007, sales of a special version of the Chevrolet Lacetti model - WTCC street edition began in Russia. This car was created based on the WTCC championship. The modification differed from the usual version of the car with a rear spoiler, alloy wheels and a sports body kit. In Europe, under the name Chevrolet Lacetti, cars have also been known only since 2004. Before that, the car was offered under the Daewoo brand. And in some countries, the station wagon and sedan versions are sold under the Nubira name.
