The FAW Besturn B50 compact sedan has been produced in China since 2009. The car is based on the platform of the first generation of the bestselling Mazda 6, and it inherited the power plant from the second generation Volkswagen Jetta. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder in-line gasoline engine develops a modest 103 horsepower. and is aggregated with either a five-speed mechanics or a six-speed automatic. On the Russian market, the car is sold in three trim levels: Modern, Deluxe and Premium. Already in the basic version, the Besturn B50 is equipped with climate control, power windows for all doors, ABS, EBD, EBA, alarm, front airbags for the driver and passenger, as well as an audio system with six speakers and MP3 support. At the moment, the oldest Chinese car brand, FAW, is not yet widely known in the Russian market. Car sales started only at the turn of 2012-2013. And in the first six months of 2013, only 1,868 FAW vehicles were sold in Russia.
