The front-wheel drive five-seater Geely MK sedan was first shown to the public at the 2006 Beijing Auto Show. The basis for the car was the Toyota Vios sedan sold in Southeast Asia. The model was positioned by the manufacturer as a comfortable and safe car at an affordable price, suitable for both family trips to nature and for daily work trips. The machine has been designed and manufactured in Geely's own facility located in Zhejiang Province since 2006. Since 2010, the Geely MK car has been assembled in Russia at the Derways plant in Cherkessk. In some markets, the car is better known under the name Geely King Kong. The car is offered to Russian motorists in three configuration options: Base, Comfort and Elegance. The basic version is devoid of active safety systems ABS + EBD. And in the richest version, the car body is equipped with an electric sunroof. A four-cylinder petrol engine with a working volume of 1.5 liters and a capacity of 94 horsepower is installed under the hood of the car, which is completed with a five-speed manual transmission. The engine is quite economical - gasoline consumption is 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
