It is offered in three versions: a five-door hatchback, a sedan and a coupe. In the first case, it is 4518 mm long, 1799 mm wide, 1434 mm high and 2697 mm between the wheelsets. As for the rest of the bodies, the sedan is 112 mm longer and the coupe is 25 mm shorter. The ground clearance is slightly below average and is only 130 millimeters. The platform hasn't changed much. It also has a modular structure and is characterized by a wide content of high strength alloys. The suspension is independent in a circle. In the old world, as before, two power units are offered. They are combined with two variable transmissions. Six-speed classic mechanics are offered by default. Alternatively, you can order a version with a proprietary stepless variator. The base engine is a manufacturer-specific two-liter inline-four. It has distributed fuel injection and a proprietary variable valve timing and valve lift system. Thanks to this set, the engineers managed to squeeze out 158 horsepower at 6500 crankshaft rpm and 187 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm. Alternatively, a new engine in the Earth Dreams series can be ordered at an additional cost. In addition to VTEC, it boasts a turbocharging system and direct fuel supply. This combination made it possible to get 174 horses from a modest 1.5 liters at 6000 rpm and 220 Nm of thrust in the range from 1700 to 5500 rpm. A major and decisive change to the optional equipment list for the new Honda Civic is the Honda Sensing driver assistance system. From now on, it installs by default on absolutely all configurations at no additional cost. It is based on adaptive radar cruise control, which automatically maintains the distance behind the vehicle in front, as well as to prevent collisions. The second component is the lane tracking system. She is able to keep the car in the selected lane, which, together with the previous system, forms a kind of autopilot.
