The new Infiniti JX concept debuted at the Peeble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2011. In the same 2011, a production model debuted at the Los Angeles Motor Show, and in Russia it appeared a year later at the Moscow Motor Show. Infiniti JX became available in the Russian market two years later. The Infiniti JX is primarily a family car and has been designed with great emphasis on creating a comfortable and ergonomic interior. Thanks to the close attention of engineers to the layout of the interior, the three rows of seats do not "eat up" the entire space in the cabin, so that seven adult passengers of any height can freely sit on them. In the Russian market, the crossover is available in four sets of options, united by a common 6-cylinder 3.5-liter engine mounted on a platform with an intelligent all-wheel drive system. It allows the car to adapt to road conditions by redistributing torque between the axles. In difficult road conditions, up to 50% of the torque can be transmitted to the rear axle to increase traction. For greater passenger safety, the Infiniti JX features the Infifniti Safety Shield concept, which includes a variety of safety features, both active and passive. Among them, an important place is occupied by collision avoidance systems. The first, Infiniti Backup Collision Intervention (BCI), is designed to simplify parking - its sensors located in the rear of the car will tell the driver the correct trajectory when reversing. The second, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA), is deeply integrated with other vehicle systems, in particular with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), which monitors the speed of approaching objects in front of the vehicle. In the event of a possible collision, both systems immediately notify the driver with a sound signal and an indicator on the dashboard, and only then activate the emergency braking systems. Also of note is the Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) blind spot and lane marking system, which uses a security camera to monitor the distance to lane markings and alert the driver when a foreign object is in the blind spot. If necessary, the system will warn the driver and, if the direction indicators are not turned on, it will brake two wheels on one side, which will help return the car to the lane.
