The second generation Range Rover Evoque debuted on November 22, 2018 at a special event in London, exactly where the first original generation was presented seven years ago. The model received a different line of power units, a more modern platform, a luxurious interior, lost the version with three doors, and also retained its recognizable design. The car has the same slightly narrower headlights with elegant LED daytime running lights. The radiator grille has retained its chrome accents and is also slightly reduced in size. Under it you can see the thin ventilation slot of the air intake. The front bumper itself has slightly changed. A more developed protective overlay has appeared in its lower part, and small chrome moldings have received recesses on the sides. New brake lights can be seen on the stern. They are visually connected and have a different pattern. The Range Rover Ewok is a premium five-seater SUV. After the generation change, its overall dimensions are: length 4371 mm, width 1965 mm, height 1660 mm, and wheelbase 2660 mm. The ground clearance, in the standard position, is 216 millimeters. The vehicle is based on the latest PTA (Premium Transverse Architecture) platform. It implies a monocoque body with a high content of high-strength alloys and a front transverse arrangement of the engine. The suspension is completely independent. In the front there are McPherson struts, and in the back there is a multi-link design. By default, coil springs and conventional telescopic shock absorbers are installed in a circle. For an additional fee, a version with adaptive racks equipped with individual sensors can be ordered. The Evoque's trunk has the correct shape and can be equipped with a special load securing system. By default, its volume is 591 liters. There is a small spare wheel under the floor. For transporting long loads, the backrests of the rear sofa can be folded down and get up to 1383 liters. In the domestic market, five different engines will be available for the SUV, exclusively automatic nine-speed variable transmissions and a proprietary all-wheel drive system. Petrol Range Rover Evoque will receive a line of two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engines of the Ingenium series. Depending on the version, they deliver from 200 to 300 horsepower and 340-400 Nm of torque. With such engines, the car accelerates from zero to the first hundred in 6.6-8.5 seconds and is maximally capable of gaining up to 216-242 kilometers per hour. Fuel consumption will be 7.7-8.1 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle. Diesel versions of the SUV will also get a two-liter turbocharged inline-four. They are capable of developing 150-180 horses and 380-430 Nm of thrust. Acceleration to a hundred will take 9.3-11.2 seconds, and the high-speed ceiling will be located at around 196-205 km / h, and fuel consumption will be 5.6-5.7 liters in the same driving mode. Range Rover Evoque belongs to the premium segment and is equipped with a host of advanced equipment. For an additional fee, it will be possible to order a panoramic roof, matrix headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, a virtual instrument panel and an air conditioning control unit, heated seats, electric adjustments and position memory, driver fatigue sensors, a traffic sign recognition system, as well as a tracking system for lane movement and radar cruise control.
