The all-new Lexus ES unveiled to the global public at the April 2018 Beijing International Auto Show. In fact, this is already a full-fledged 7th generation, and not another planned restyling. It is built on the GA-K platform, has received modernized powertrains, a stunning interior and an elegant appearance. First of all, I would like to note the narrow angular headlights with L-shaped sections of the running lights, small focusing elements and full LED filling. The radiator grille is made in the current, at the moment, style and flaunts the manufacturer's logo. It has the shape of a spindle and occupies the lion's share of the front bumper. On the sides of it you can see a couple of special grooves with black plastic inserts. The food was also quite interesting. Stylish brake lights, a small spoiler on the boot lid and two trapezoidal exhaust pipes are striking. In general, the model received a swift and sophisticated look in the best traditions of the brand. The Lexus E-Es is a premium four-door E class sedan. Its overall dimensions are: length 4980 mm, width 1865 mm, height 1445 mm, and wheelbase 2870 mm. The clearance of the model is quite small, only 135 millimeters. Thanks to such a landing, the sedan can boast of good handling, stability at relatively high speeds, however, it will be quite picky about the condition of the road surface. As for the suspension itself, it has a completely independent architecture and is made in a key that is quite common for this class. In front, there are classic McPherson struts, and in the back there is a multi-link. Anti-roll bars and steel coil springs with shock absorbers are installed around. The main difference between the seventh generation Lexus ES is that from now on, it has acquired the status of a global model and will be sold even in the European market. It will be equipped with four different power plants, a CVT and automatic variable transmissions, as well as exclusively front-wheel drive. Thanks to a good set of units, the model becomes quite versatile and is able to satisfy the needs of a wide target audience. Basic models will be equipped with the already familiar in-line two-liter atmospheric four. Thanks to an advanced gas distribution mechanism and a proprietary phase change system, it produces 150 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, and also mates with a six-speed automatic. For hotter lovers, a more powerful 2.5-liter version is provided. The motor has the same layout, however, generates 203 horses and 249 Nm. A more advanced eight-speed gearbox is provided for it. The most powerful option is the 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6. It develops 301 hp and 362 Nm. The 300h version will be equipped with a hybrid unit with a 2.5-liter inline-four, CVT and electric motor, the total output of such a model will be 218 hp. The next generation ES is preparing to enter a new market for it. He has a swift and graceful design that perfectly emphasizes the character and status of its owner in society. Such a car will not dissolve in the gray everyday stream and will not get lost in the large parking lot of the business center. The salon is a realm of luxurious finishing materials, verified ergonomics and uncompromising comfort. Even heavy traffic during rush hour or a long journey will not be able to deliver the slightest inconvenience to the owner. The manufacturer is well aware that models of this class, first of all, should give driving pleasure. That is why, under the hood of the sedan, there is a powerful and technological unit, which is a fusion of proven technologies and unsurpassed Japanese quality. Lexus ES is a comfortable and status car with fairly reliable units.
