In Russia, sales of the Chinese car Lifan Breez, which is better known in its homeland as the Lifan 520, began in November 2007. The model is designed on the Citroen ZX platform. Today the car is produced in sedan and hatchback bodies, and the production of the latter began a year after the launch of the sedan and was preceded by a demonstration at the Moscow Motor Show. Both variants are equipped with 1.3-liter or 1.6-liter engines with 89 and 106 horsepower respectively. At the request of Russian specialists, Chinese designers have made some changes to the car. So, the ground clearance was increased to 15.5 centimeters. In addition, Lifan Breez received a high-capacity battery. The car is produced at the Derways plant in Cherkessk. The car can be easily started at temperatures up to 30 ? C. The design of the cabin, dashboard and lighting has also been revised. The capacity of the luggage compartment of the sedan is 620 liters, the hatchback is 360 liters. The hatchback is more than 100 kilograms lighter and 33 centimeters shorter than the sedan, and its rear seats can be folded down to increase the trunk up to 1.4 meters. The rest of the hatchback is identical to the sedan.
