The Lifan Cebrium business-class sedan, known at home in China under the index 720, appeared in Russia at the end of 2013. Its world presentation took place in April of the same year at the Shanghai Motor Show. Lifan Cebrium has impressive dimensions (length - 4705 mm, width - 1757 mm and height - 1496 mm) and belongs to the "D" class. According to the manufacturer, it may be of interest to ordinary citizens, businessmen, as well as companies that can use Cebrium as a corporate vehicle for their management. Lifan representatives claim that the Lifan Cebrium was the first model released after the company introduced a qualitatively new approach to the development and creation of vehicles. It is driven by a single transversely installed four-cylinder 1.8-liter 16-valve engine, with variable valve timing on both camshafts, with a capacity of 128 hp. (168 Nm). This power unit was developed by the company's own design bureau and is also installed on the Lifan X60 crossover. With him, Lifan Cebrium accelerates to a speed of 100 km / h in 13.5 seconds. and consumes 10 liters in the city, 6.6 liters on the highway and in the combined cycle - 7.9 liters of AI 92 gasoline per 100 kilometers. The fuel tank holds 55 liters. The gearbox is also the only one, mechanical, five-speed. The drive is provided for the front wheels only. The Lifan Cebrium suspension design is somewhat non-standard - a MacPherson strut with an anti-roll bar is installed on both axles. When loaded, Lifan Cebrium weighs 1340 kg and is capable of maintaining a maximum speed of 180 km / h. It does not have a good carrying capacity - only 375 kg. Perhaps this was due to the most comfortable suspension settings. On the road, Cebrium demonstrates good handling and stability, and when driving over artificial irregularities, a clearance of 170 mm turns out to be useful. All wheel brakes are disc, ventilated at the front. Lifan Cebrium pleasantly impresses with its large interior space and a spacious 620-liter trunk. However, you can find many flaws in it. So, the journalists who tested it complained about the seats completely deprived of lateral support and the driver's seat set too high. For a little Chinese, such a fit is likely to be comfortable, but an average European rests his head against the ceiling. Screens of two-color monitors shine dimly, which makes them difficult to read during the day and glare in sunny weather. The two center vents on the dashboard do not overlap, and therefore air blows out of them constantly while the fan is running. The trunk lid does not have an inner handle. To close it you have to get your hands dirty. The poor build quality can also add problems. Cars sold on the Russian market are produced in Karachay-Cherkessia at the Derways plant, which has received similar complaints before. However, Lifan calls the company its strategic partner and plans to increase cooperation. Perhaps they have already found ways to solve this problem.
