The MINI Cabrio's ground clearance is 115 millimeters. Thanks to such a low ground clearance, the vehicle has a low center of gravity, agility and excellent stability. The trunk of the MINI Cabrio cannot boast of an enviable spaciousness. The reason for this is the modest wheelbase and the bulky folding top mechanism. With the roof folded down, only 160 liters of free space remains at the back, however, if it is raised, up to 215 liters are freed up. This volume is quite enough for the everyday tasks of a city dweller, however, if the owner decides to take something larger than a sports bag with him, he will have to sacrifice the seats in the cabin. The MINI Cabrio is equipped with three engines, manual and automatic transmissions and exclusively front-wheel drive. Thanks to a good range of units presented, the car becomes quite versatile and is able to satisfy most of the needs of a potential buyer. The basic equipment of the MINI Cabrio is equipped with an in-line petrol turbocharged three-cylinder unit with a volume of 1,198 cc. Despite the modest displacement, the turbocharger allowed it to develop 102 horsepower in the range from 4000 to 6000 rpm and 180 Nm of torque from 1400 to 3900 rpm. With such an engine, the convertible will pick up the first hundred in 10.6 seconds and will be able to accelerate up to 190 kilometers per hour. Thanks to its small volume and direct fuel supply system, the car is quite economical. Fuel consumption of the Mini Cabrio will be 6 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers at the city pace with frequent acceleration and braking, 4.6 liters during a measured trip on a country road and 5.2 liters of fuel per hundred in the combined driving cycle. the manufacturer can offer an engine with the same layout, but increased to 1499 cubic centimeters in volume. Thanks to the increased displacement, the engineers managed to squeeze out 136 horsepower at 4400 rpm and 220 Nm of torque at 1250 rpm. With a manual transmission, the car will reach the first hundred in 8.8 seconds, and the maximum speed, in turn, will be equal to 208 kilometers per hour. Despite the increased dynamic characteristics and power, the economy practically did not suffer. Fuel consumption of the MINI Cabrio will be 6 liters of gasoline per hundred at the city pace, 4.5 liters on the highway and 5.1 liters in the combined driving cycle.
