Choose appropriate trim of Mini Roadster:
The new Mini Cooper Roadster debuted at the North American International Auto Show in January 2012. The first ever Mini two-seater with a soft top was based on the previously presented Coupe. Despite reinforced sills, a windshield frame and safety arches installed behind the backs of the front seats, the weight of the Mini Roadster has increased by only 15 kg, and the dimensions remain the same. The base version is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 122 hp, while the Mini Cooper Roadster S has an engine of the same size, which develops 184 hp, thanks to the Twin Scroll turbocharger. Both motors are aggregated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. With it, the usual Mini Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.2 seconds, and the modification with the letter “S” - in exactly 7 seconds. The automatic gearbox is available to customers only as an option. At the same time, the Mini Roadster is quite economical: the manufacturer's declared consumption in the combined cycle is 5.7 liters, and for a car with an 184-horsepower engine - only 0.3 liters more. Thanks to the soft top with a manual folding mechanism, the trunk of the Mini Cooper Roadster remained quite roomy - 240 liters versus 125 liters with the roof folded in the Cabrio model. The basic equipment of the Mini Roadster includes ABS with electronic brake force distribution, dynamic stability control, 4 airbags and a parking radar. Other equipment includes electrically adjustable mirrors, an mp3 radio, tire pressure sensors, and an engine start button. It is noteworthy that there is no air conditioning as standard, even if it is the Mini Cooper Roadster S. The list of options for the top-end Mini Roadster trim levels includes a premium audio system, navigation system, Bluetooth module and heated seats. It is expected that along with the base version, as well as the Mini Cooper Roadster S, the fastest modification of the John Cooper Works roadster with a 218-horsepower engine will be sold in Russian dealerships.
