It's hard to imagine, but one of the fastest supercars of our time, the Nissan GT-R debuted back in 2007 and has never changed a generation since then. To stay relevant, the manufacturer regularly updates the model and releases special versions that stir up interest. In March 2016, the third restyling of the R35 generation appeared on the catwalks of the New York International Automobile Salon. Orders started in May, and in the summer the first cars were delivered to their owners. It's worth noting that for the GT-R, restyling means much more than for a regular car. The manufacturer spent a wide range of work not only on the exterior and interior, but also seriously worked on the technique. The novelty received a modernized power unit, a reconfigured variable gearbox, a new front panel, as well as a more modern appearance. The upgraded version can be distinguished by the new front bumper. It received an enlarged cutout of the air intake, a trim corresponding to the corporate style of V-motion, as well as side air intakes with other sections of the fog lamps. The Nissan GTR is a four-seater sports car in the back of a coupe. The new body kit slightly affected its overall dimensions. From now on, the car measures 4,710 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, 1,370 mm in height and 2,780 mm between wheelsets. The ground clearance is expectedly small and is only 105 millimeters. The car is based on the Premier Midship platform. She has a front longitudinal arrangement of the power unit. The key feature is that the motor is located behind the front axle line. This arrangement made it possible to achieve a distribution of weight along the axles in a ratio of 54:46 in favor of the front. The suspension itself is equipped with adaptive struts, and also received new shock absorbers and other anti-roll bars with thickened walls. As before, the Nissan GT-R is powered by the VR38DETT V6 turbocharged powertrain. Its key features are the presence of two turbochargers, direct fuel supply and an advanced variable valve timing system. After restyling, the engine began to produce 30 horsepower and 9 Nm more. Such an increase was achieved thanks to an increase in boost pressure, refinement of the ignition system and a new titanium exhaust system. It is worth noting that along with this, the working speed also moved up. The engine now develops 570 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 637 Nm of torque from 3,300 to 5,800 rpm. Among other things, the six-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches was reconfigured. As a result, the coupe takes off from zero to the first hundred in just 2.8 seconds and is maximally capable of developing 315 km / h. Inside the Nissan GT-R, the changes are much more global. The manufacturer completely changed the entire front panel. She looks much more modern and interesting. The sport seats have improved lateral support. Also worth noting is the new multifunction steering wheel with gearshift paddles. On the center dashboard, you can see the eight-inch screen of the updated Nissan Connect infotainment system and the redesigned climate control unit.
