The first design sketches for the concept version of the Peugeot 207 appeared in 2004. However, the manufacturer was in no hurry to release the car and presented a serial car only in 2006. The appearance of the new car has become even more aggressive compared to the younger model Peugeot 206. When creating the car, elements of the Citroen C3 platform were used. Nevertheless, the model has become taller and wider than its "ancestor". The wheelbase has grown by 10 centimeters, and the car itself has been adapted to different climatic and road conditions. This is facilitated by improved thermal insulation and a powerful climate system. The interior of the Peugeot 207 is spacious for both passengers and the driver. The luggage compartment is 270 liters. When the rear seats are folded down, you can get an additional cubic meter of usable space. Safety inside the car is ensured by six airbags and five belts. Also, the designers took care of increasing the rigidity of the body, which contributed to the overall safety indicator. The first Peugeot 207 models were produced exclusively in three- and five-door hatchback bodies. Later, a convertible and a mini station wagon entered the world market. Although the Peugeot 207 CC convertible, which went on sale in 2007, does not have an official predecessor, but in fact it became a direct follower of ideas laid down in 1934. It was then that the first coupe-cabriolet of the French manufacturer appeared, which the public immediately liked. Much later, the Peugeot 207 was developed. It also served as the basis for the Peugeot 207 CC, which was able to combine all technological innovations with the spirit of the brand's first coupe-convertibles. Most of the similarities are evident in the design: the convertible is easily recognizable by the Classic bumper and chrome trim on the dashboard. The interior of the car can be done in dark gray or black. Car developers have thoroughly approached the safety of passengers, creating a powerful frame and equipping the car with many amplifiers. As a result, the convertible received a body more rigid than the hatchback. Experts call this case the first in the entire history of the automotive industry. The convertible top takes just 25 seconds to smoothly transform the convertible top.
