Depending on the performance of the turbocharging system, the power of such a unit is 100 or 130 horsepower. Alternatively, a supercharged 1.5-liter common rail diesel four is offered. It is capable of generating up to 100 horsepower. Together with internal combustion engines, six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions of variable transmissions can work. The electric Peugeot 208 will be equipped with an electric motor with 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. With a 50 kWh battery pack, it is capable of covering up to 340 kilometers and accelerates from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in just 8.1 seconds. The strength of the Peugeot 208 is its high level of equipment. In addition to trivial options such as climate control, multimedia and more expensive interior trim, the manufacturer offers a wide range of high-end electronic assistants, previously installed exclusively on flagship models. The car can be equipped with a full-fledged radar cruise control, which maintains a distance behind the car driving in front, up to a complete stop. Moreover, a system is available that monitors the observance of the lane of movement, driver fatigue and monitoring of blind spots.
