The premiere of the Peugeot 307 model took place in the spring of 2001. The car that replaced the 306 series immediately won many fans. The popularity of the car is proved by the title "Car of the Year 2002". The golf-class model was originally produced in two versions - a three-door and a five-door hatchback. In this case, the modifications differ only in doorways; the internal dimensions are the same in both cases. The Peugeot 307 was offered in three trim levels: XR, XS and XSi. The car was equipped with one of five power units with a capacity of 90 to 138 horsepower. In 2002, the SW wagon was released, featuring an increased capacity. The car could accommodate up to seven people. To achieve such characteristics, the wheelbase of the car was increased by 10 centimeters, and the total body length by 12 centimeters. The model was equipped with gasoline and diesel engines ranging from 110 to 136 horsepower. Also in the model range of the French manufacturer there is the Peugeot 307 Break station wagon. It differs from the SW model in a less rich package. In particular, the Break is offered exclusively in a five-seater version and cannot be equipped with a transparent top with an electric shutter. The Peugeot 307 CC concept car was unveiled at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. The car was launched into mass production in 2003. The manufacturer decided to create a convertible on the Peugeot 307 platform after the success of the 206 series, while making it much more convenient, practical and more representative of its "predecessor". Externally, the coupe-cabriolet differs from the 307 model mainly by a lower and inclined windshield and an angular bumper. These changes made it possible to improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the car and avoid the appearance of air currents inside the convertible. The safety characteristics of the car have been significantly increased. The rear end of the Peugeot 307 CC is very similar to the Peugeot RC concept car. An important advantage of the new coupe-convertible is the comfortable seating of four adults in the cabin. From the Peugeot 206 CC model, the car adopted the automatic hard top transformation system. The design and layout of the interior are almost completely copied from the production car Peugeot 307. Under the hood of the car is installed a 136-horsepower or 177-horsepower engine. The capacity of the luggage compartment of the convertible varies between 204-340 liters, depending on the position of the roof.
