In 1997, the manufacturer introduced the Peugeot 406 coupe. The design of the car was developed in collaboration with specialists from the Italian studio Pininfarina. An important advantage of the French coupe is the adjustable suspension stiffness. The car was equipped with a 3-liter V6 engine developing 167 horsepower. In 2000, the model was restyled. The renovation of the car was also carried out in close cooperation with the Pininfarina studio. The car does not have any striking differences from its predecessor. A major innovation is the large on-board computer display on the front console. At the moment, the 406th model is not produced. It was replaced by the Peugeot 407.
