As a sports coupe concept, the Peugeot RCZ was presented to the world back in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In 2009, the start of serial production of the car was announced there, and the world premiere of the already updated version of the model took place at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. In general, the new Peugeot RCZ has retained all the main distinctive features of its predecessor, having received only a slight improvement in appearance due to the updated front bumper, radiator grill, headlights and daytime running lights, rear-view mirrors and taillights. There is an active rear spoiler, a pedestrian-safe bonnet and an engine sound system that improves its sound in certain modes. Peugeot RCZ can be equipped with one of two versions of the turbocharged 1.6-liter petrol engine with different boost levels. In the first case, this is an EP6CDT with a capacity of 156 hp. with a torque of 240 Nm. It can be aggregated with both manual and automatic transmissions, both six-speed. With them, acceleration to 100 km / h takes 8 and 8.4 seconds. respectively. The second - EP6CDTX has a capacity of 200 hp. and 275 Nm. Paired with a single six-speed manual gearbox, it accelerates the Peugeot RCZ to "hundreds" in 7.5 seconds. Both engines comply with the Euro 5 environmental class. Two new colors have appeared in the Peugeot RCZ body paint palette: brown and red metallic. The buyer can also choose from 12 interior trims, to which five new ones have been added, including trim in various leather grades and their combinations with Alcantara. In this case, the seats are necessarily equipped with an electric adjustment drive. The new Peugeot RCZ also differs from the previous version with navigation in Russian, a 7-inch monitor screen and an entertainment system with improved surround sound quality. The list of standard equipment for the Peugeot RCZ consists of a dashboard with a matrix screen, dual-zone climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, aluminum pedals and sills, doors, dynamic stabilization and traction control systems, parking sensors, and 18-inch aluminum wheel disks. For a fee, you can order navigation, carbon roof and aluminum arches to it. As an adaptation for the Russian market, the Peugeot RCZ received heated seats, crankcase protection, heated outside mirrors and a spare wheel. The volume of the trunk with the rear seat back folded is 384 liters. In January 2015, due to low demand caused by the general decline in the Russian car market, sales of the sports coupe were discontinued. Prior to that, the minimum cost of a car was 1 million 199 thousand rubles.
