In 2012, on the stage of the International Paris Motor Show, the next generation of Seat Toledo debuted. The model is an absolute novelty and the fourth generation in history. It is built on the basis of the Skoda Rapid, received a wide range of subcompact engines, a slightly modified interior and design in the current, at the moment, corporate style. The front of the car received elongated, slightly pointed, headlights with large reflectors of halogen lamps and compact sections of daytime running lights. The radiator grille has a thin chrome border and is a black plastic mesh with elongated diamond-shaped cells. On the front bumper, you can see a trapezoidal air intake made in a similar style and a couple of fog lamp blocks. The stern, in turn, features more angular brake lights and an upturned trunk lid. The Seat Toledo is a five-seat liftback of the subcompact class. Its overall dimensions are: length 4482 mm, width 1706 mm, height 1461 mm, and wheelbase 2602 mm. The ground clearance is typical for this class and is equal to 150 millimeters. The suspension is also made in a classic way. In front there is a structure based on McPherson struts, and in the back there is an elastic semi-dependent beam. The manufacturer slightly changed the settings for the power steering and shock absorbers, which gave the model a more driver-like character compared to its Czech relative. Toledo's strong point is its spacious trunk. Thanks to this shape of the body, in the standard position, the model is able to provide up to 550 liters of free space, and the wide luggage opening will facilitate the loading of bulky items. The liftback received a wide range of power units with diesel and gasoline engines, mechanical and robotic DSG gearboxes and exclusively front-wheel drive. Under the hood of the gasoline Seat Toledo, there are in-line fours of 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 liters. They deliver from 75 to 125 horsepower. Acceleration to hundreds takes 9-13.9 seconds, and the high-speed ceiling is located at around 175-208 kilometers per hour. Fuel consumption, with a calm driving style, will be 4.8-6.1 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers in the combined cycle. The diesel line consists of 1.4 and 1.6 liter turbocharged fours. Depending on the version, they develop from 90 to 115 horses. Toledo on heavy fuel gains a hundred in 10-12 seconds and is capable of developing 178-201 horsepower. The appetites of such models are very modest - 3.4-4.5 liters of diesel fuel per hundred kilometers in a combined cycle. The Toledo will get a richer base package than the Rapid. It will include six airbags, ABS and stabilization system, power windows in the front doors and air conditioning. For an additional fee, you can order a multimedia system with a five-inch touch screen, cruise control, parking sensors, a more advanced audio system and a navigator.
