The new generation Volvo V60 was presented to the general public on February 21, 2018. The manufacturer considers the model to be an ideal family car and, in order to emphasize this status, decided to hold a presentation not within the framework of the world auto show, but on the driveway of the most ordinary residential building in Stockholm. It will not be difficult to distinguish the new product from its predecessor, it received a modernized filling, moved to a modular platform and tried on a new corporate design. Striking are the stylish, slim headlights with striking T-sections of the Hammer of Thor LED running lights. The radiator grille has a rather modest size and flaunts the manufacturer's logo. It consists of many concave horizontally oriented ribs and a thick chrome strip along the contour. In general, the model has received many dramatic changes that completely transformed its appearance. Volvo B60 is a five-seater premium D-class station wagon. Its overall dimensions are: length 4761 mm, width 1850 mm, height 1427 mm, and wheelbase 2872 mm. The clearance of the model is quite small - only 128 millimeters. Thanks to such a fit, the model will hold the road perfectly and retain tremendous stability, even at high speeds, however, it will be pleased with the sensitivity to road conditions. The suspension is fully independent with multi-link architecture and anti-roll bars. For an additional fee, it can be equipped with pneumatic elements. The trunk of the station wagon is expectedly spacious, in the standard position, there is about 529 liters of free space in the back. Thanks to this volume, the car is perfect for everyday tasks of a city car enthusiast, and for family outings in the countryside with an abundance of luggage. If, on a whim of fate, the owner has to transport long loads, he will always be able to fold the back row and release up to 1364 liters. In total, the station wagon will be equipped with five different engines, automatic and manual transmissions, as well as front or all-wheel drive. Thanks to the widest list of alternative units, the car becomes quite versatile and is able to satisfy most of the needs of a potential buyer. The backbone of the Volvo V60's powertrain is in-line, two-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel units. Depending on the turbocharger, they develop 150-190 horsepower and 320-400 Nm of torque. In this configuration, the model accelerates to a hundred in 7.9-9.9 seconds, gains maximum 205-220 km / h and consumes 4.3-4.5 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers in a combined driving cycle. For those who like it hot, the manufacturer offers a gasoline engine with the same layout. It produces 310 horses at 5700 rpm and 400 Nm from 2200 to 5100 rpm. These versions are exclusively equipped with all-wheel drive, gain 100 km / h in 5.8 seconds, and consume about 7.5 liters on the combined cycle. Top models boast hybrid powertrains with 340 or 390 horsepower and 590-640 Nm. They are able to accelerate the car to the first hundred in 4.8 seconds and have an electronic limiter at around 250 km / h. A distinctive feature of such versions is excellent efficiency - 2.1 liters of gasoline per hundred under the same conditions. The second generation has received a lot of great changes. It has a stylish and memorable design that perfectly emphasizes the character and personality of its owner. Such a car will not dissolve in the gray everyday stream and will not get lost in the large parking lot of the shopping center. The salon is a realm of luxurious finishing materials, verified ergonomics, practicality and uncompromising comfort. Even a kilometer-long traffic jam or a country trip will not be able to deliver even the slightest inconvenience. The manufacturer is well aware that cars of this class, first of all, should give pleasure from driving. That is why, the station wagon is equipped with an excellent line of power units, which are an alloy of advanced technology and many years of experience of engineers. The Volvo V60 is a powerful, economical and roomy estate with a high level of comfort.
